Desire Vintage offers private sourcing for clients searching for specific vintage bags - thoughtfully selected, authenticated, and sourced through our supplier network. This service is intentionally limited and requires a deposit to ensure time, research, and access are dedicated to your request.

How It Works

1. Submit Your Request
Complete the sourcing form with as much detail as possible, including item specifics, budget, and timeline. Reference photos are always helpful. If a request is not realistic within the selected budget or timeframe, you’ll be notified before moving forward. Sourcing is based on the details provided in the original request; significant changes may require a new submission.

2. Pay the $150 (CAD) Sourcing Deposit. After submitting the form, a link will be provided to complete the sourcing deposit. This deposit reflects the time and care involved in locating the right piece and is applied toward the final purchase. The deposit is fully refundable only if a qualifying item cannot be found within the selected timeline.

3. The Search Begins
Sourcing begins once the deposit is received. Timelines assume reasonable responsiveness once options are presented. Updates will be shared as soon as suitable pieces become available. Please refer to our authentication guide here.

4. Review & Approve
When a match is found, photos, condition details, and the estimated final price will be provided. Approved items require final payment within 48 hours to secure availability. If payment is not completed within this window, the item may be released and the sourcing deposit forfeited.

5. Delivery
Once secured, your item is shipped to us for verification and then forwarded to you. International shipping is available upon request and is quoted separately. Flat shipping rates apply to Canada and the U.S. only. Please refer to our shipping policy here.

What is the $150 deposit for?

The $150 sourcing deposit secures your request and covers the time, research, and work involved in finding your piece.

This deposit is credited toward your final purchase and deducted from the total amount once the item is secured.

If we are unable to locate a suitable item within your specified timeline, the deposit is fully refundable.
Do you source items other than bags?

At this time, we only offer sourcing for designer bags.
How can I send reference photos?

How long does sourcing take?

Timelines vary depending on rarity, colour, condition, and market availability.

Most requests take 6–8 weeks, but this may vary.

If we reach the end of your selected timeline without finding a match, you may extend the sourcing period or request a full deposit refund.
What if I change my mind?

If you change your mind before paying the sourcing deposit, no problem — your request is not yet active, and nothing is owed.

After your deposit is paid, the request is active. The deposit is non-refundable if you choose to cancel or change your mind before a suitable item is found within the agreed-upon timeline specified in your request.

If you confirm that you want to proceed with a sourced item and later decide not to complete the final purchase, the deposit is forfeited. This compensates for the time and work involved in sourcing, communication, and securing the item on your behalf.
Can I submit multiple requests at once?

Yes — each request requires its own sourcing deposit to ensure dedicated time and attention for each item.
